Google Integration & Data Disclosure
AllJobGuider Career OS connects to Google Services to automate the career tracking process. In compliance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, this page details our exact usage of scopes and security protocols.
Limited Use Policy Compliance
Our integration complies with Google Limited Use requirements. Gmail read-only data is processed programmatically to extract career events. We never share, transfer, or sell this information to third-party marketing companies, ad networks, or brokers.
Requested OAuth Scopes
Gmail Read-Only Access
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonlyWhat we do:
Our background sync worker scans your inbox for emails containing job application confirmation keywords (e.g. "application received", "interview invite"). We extract only the company name, role title, and date.
What we never do:
We do NOT write, modify, or delete emails. We never read or parse unrelated personal emails.
Gmail Label Metadata
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.labelsWhat we do:
Used in tandem with gmail.readonly to retrieve labels/thread structure, helping us group email updates into unified threads.
What we never do:
Used strictly to filter updates for existing applications in your pipeline.
Calendar Events Sync
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.eventsWhat we do:
When you set a deadline (Online Assessment links, assignments, or interviews) on an opportunity, this integration automatically syncs it as an event in your Google Calendar.
What we never do:
We only write, update, or delete calendar events that were created inside AllJobGuider. We do not read or modify your other personal calendar events.
Identity Verification
profile & emailWhat we do:
Allows Google One-Click sign-in and binds your AllJobGuider account to your verified email.
What we never do:
No password storage required when logging in through Google.
Security & Data Flow Blueprints
When you authorize Gmail or Calendar access, the process occurs securely through standard Google OAuth 2.0. Our backend:
Tokens are requested from Google servers, encrypted using AES-256 keys, and stored securely in AWS-hosted databases.
A backend worker runs a lightweight sync (max results: 50, trailing 90 days) scanning message headers for career keywords.
Valid career updates are placed in "Pending Review" on your board. Non-matching emails are ignored immediately.
How to Revoke Access
You are in full control of your Google authorizations. You can disconnect your Gmail or Calendar sync at any time:
- Navigate to your AllJobGuider Settings page.
- Under the Integrations tab, click the Disconnect button adjacent to Gmail or Google Calendar. All active OAuth tokens will be instantly scrubbed from our database.
- Alternatively, you can revoke access globally via Google Account Security Console at Google Third-Party Apps with Account Access.
